Chalky Whites/Knight Racer
Well what can I say.. Nothing good.
Diagnosed my 350Z with a timing chain being stretched. After explaining to Mark Singleton, Albert Wong and their mechanic the symptoms my car was giving, low oil pressure/oil pressure dropping, ems light, abs light and traction control I was told that they had diagnosed the car as timing chain issue. This corroborated with a local garage. A fixed price was agreed to fix the car.
After waiting approximately 1 month to receive my car I was advised the chain kit had to be built as the chain received was the wrong one.
Mark advised me that they had gone to a particular company that make the chains and had it made for the car. Work also completed was galley gaskets, a sensor and another gasket was fitted along with a service which Mark advised "they forgot to add to the bill".
After agreeing a fixed price this was slightly amended due to parts cost which is understandable.
I drove the car away with a light bit of smoke from the exhaust assuming that was the norm. The vehicle smelt like it was burning but assumed it may have been spilt oil when servicing.
I covered 1 journey to north london and 4 or 5 trips to the gym across a 5 or 6 month period (car doesn't get used much) which was a total of approximately 200 miles at best.
I went to drive the car to work and the same issues arised. I took the vehicle to a friends garage who stated its the same issue with the timing chain if it's under warranty they should fix it.
I called Mark Singleton who stated "the car was fixed but when you brought the car back it had no oil which has caused the chain to skip a tooth due to the pressure in the tensioners".
Now I agree with what he says in terms of low oil could have caused the issue or a tensioner could have failed (should be warranted). However after explaining the symptoms to him and being told by Mark that the issue that I had before is fixed (low oil pressure/oil pressure dropping) the car began to show them signs prior to bringing the car back to the garage.
1. Why would i check the oil within a 200 mile range at most probably more like half that.
2. The car has just been serviced (supposedly)
3. I had no suspicion of the car being faulty as I was advised from what I believed to be a professional stating the issues were fixed.
Mark had stated for the reason that the car had barely any oil in the chain it's not warranted.
If you are having a costly fix be aware your warranty on your vehicle will likely not be honoured due to my experience.
I was told by a mechanic it's likely they had just taken a link out of the chain and not conducted the work stated they carried out.
The service is questionable.
And fixing the issue I had with the car is not what they did because I obviously still had an issue having to bring it back within 200 miles of "fixing the issue".
You make your mind up. £1000 down the drain and the vehicle runs worse than before with same symptoms.

The service is great, they provide a quick turnaround and they value loyal customers. The prices are always reasonable.

I've been a customer for 10 years but since the owners changed its been really bad. I went in yesterday to get my air con sorted and they didn't even look at the car, just asked me a bunch of questions and diagnosed possible problems without even lifting the bonnet. I will be finding another mechanic

Genuine guys and worked quickly with both MOT & Service. They have a waiting room in the warm and plenty of shops around to keep busy and hunger at bay whilst waiting.
Would happily go back or recommend them.

Booked in for service through groupon. Great staff and service. But didnt reset computer properly, was told to look on google and i would get a call back. No call back and had to sort the issue myself. Seems like once they have had ur money they dont care. Which is a shame as they did a good job up til that point.
